WHO ARE WE?We’re Michelle & Alisha, a team of wedding filmmakers based in Maine. We created Fox & Sparrow Films to visually convey the love shared between two people and the raw heart-felt moments that come from it. We met over 9 years ago on a film set in Vermont and bonded over our mutual love for the outdoors. Since then we've traveled the world together, adopted two gorgeous little kittens (Otis and Maeve) and built out our own camper van.WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?We like to keep things real—laid back, fun, and stress-free—for you and your guests. DESCRIPTIONS
REHEARSAL DINNER: A separate film of your rehearsal dinner which includes 1 shooter for 3 hours.
FULL DOCUMENTARY FILM: Think typical old school wedding video! This film captures your day from start to finish including all formalities plus 4 montages showcasing your getting ready, photo session, cocktail hour and epic dance party! Typically 1-2 hours long.
GUEST MESSAGES: A film compiled with special words from your guests congratulating you both! Trust me this video is as entertaining as it is sentimental.
TEASER FILM: If you use Social Media you’ve probably seen one of these on your feed. Our teasers are a great way to create a memorable video to share with your friends & family just like you would with a sneak peak photo gallery!
CINEMATIC POSTCARDS: Think of these as your moving sneak peeks. 5–10 heartfelt clips that bring your wedding day back to life, before your full film arrives.
LIFESTYLE FILM: A 2 hour session with you and your partner doing whatever you want wherever you want! You'll receive a beautifully crafted 1-2 minute film. Footage might be incorporated into your highlight film
Our Super 8 films offer a beautifully textured, nostalgic aesthetic that stands apart from the clean precision of digital video. The softer, more emotive quality of real super 8 creates a sense of artistry and timeless charm.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR FILM?Teaser and Super 8 films are delivered within 2–4 weeks of your wedding, while Highlight and Full Documentary Films are completed within 6–9 months. This timeline gives us the space to carefully craft your film with the attention to detail it deserves, while also managing the full season’s edits. We take great pride in making sure every story is told beautifully—and that takes time done right.HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?To reserve your date, all we require is a signed contract and a $750 non-refundable retainer, payable by check, credit card, or bank transfer. Please note: credit card payments include a 3% processing fee per transaction.ARE YOU INSURED?Of course! If your venue requires a copy of our certificates just let us know and we're happy to provide them!WHAT DOES THE TRAVEL FEE COVER?A travel fee of $1 per mile applies to locations beyond 150 miles from Kennebunk, ME. For weddings over 250 miles away, we kindly ask for one night of lodging. For more distant destinations, up to two nights of lodging, meals, rental car, flights, and gas may be required, depending on the location and travel logistics.HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE MUSIC?From start to finish, we pay close attention to who your personalities. Months before the wedding, we send a questionnaire to learn your music tastes—then on the day of, listen to what playlists you've curated for your wedding day. Together, these cues help us choose the perfect licensable songs for your digital films, all sourced from our Musicbed subscription. Super 8 films are made with songs of your choice. WILL YOU WORK WELL WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?Absolutely—we love working with photographers!
With years of experience under our belt, we’ve learned how to create a seamless, collaborative flow with other vendors. Before each wedding, we always make a point to reach out and introduce ourselves, so by the time your big day arrives, we’re already on the same page. We consistently hear from our couples how much they appreciate the way we work so effortlessly with their vendor team—it’s something we truly take pride in.WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?We use up to four Sony a7siii's with high end glass in order to provide the best quality video our cameras can offer and shoot everything in 4k. We also have multiple forms of audio so that no matter what happens everything is captured! If you're curious about what other gear we use, please feel free to ask! WHAT IF WE DON'T NEED 8 HOURS OF COVERAGE?We totally understand that every wedding is different—some are shorter, while others need the full 8 hours (or more!). As part of our standard practice for our digital films, we reserve the entire day exclusively for your wedding. Because of this full-day commitment, our pricing remains the same even if less time is needed.WHAT IF WE DON'T NEED 2 VIDEOGRAPHERS?Unlike photography, our filmmaking style (with the exception of our Essentials package and Super 8 ) requires multiple cameras and constant coordination—often needing us to be in two places at once, whether that’s setting up audio, positioning cameras, or capturing key details. To ensure we don’t miss a moment and can tell your story as fully as possible, we film side by side as a team throughout the day.HOW DO YOU DELIVER YOUR VIDEOS ?We deliver your all our wedding films via Vidflow, a user-friendly online platform that hosts your video for up to 10 years. Your raw footage is sent separately on a hard drive via mail. We love using Vidflow because it makes viewing and downloading your film easy—anyone with the link can watch and save it directly to their phone or computer, no fuss required!
